Ignite does its best to provide a club experience for all players. Whether beginner or experienced club player, we believe volleyball can teach the important traits of teamwork, patience/endurance, handwork and character. In addition, we just love this game and want to see more students play--no matter what level. 

To provide players with the appropriate club experience, our teams are identified as follows: 

• NATIONAL: travel teams competing at the highest level possible. Practices are generally 3 times per week with conditioning/strength training immediately before or after. They play in local SCVA tournaments, travel to the JO Qualifiers (Vegas) and participate in a year end travel tournament (Phoenix, Florida or the city that is hosting the National Championships). 
• PREMIER: similar to National teams they provide high competition.  They compete in all local SCVA tournaments, and some travel tournaments (TBD). Practices are 2-3 times per week. 
• ELITE:  semi-travel teams playing at a competitive level. Practices are 2 times per week with conditioning/strength training once a week. They play in local SCVA tournaments and a local year end tournament like Summer Soiree. Depending on ranking, they could also travel to the JO Qualifier or a year end tournament. 
• SELECT: beginning to intermediate teams competing regionally.  They practice twice a week and play in local SCVA tournaments. There is no travel and no year-end tournament for 12-14 Select, with Summer Soiree as a year-end for 15-18 Select teams. It provides a great beginning club experience without added schedule demands or travel fees.*
• ASPIRE: similar to Select teams, these players are beginning to intermediate teams that compete regionally. Practices are 2x per week with no travel and a local year-end tournament for 15-18 Aspire teams. A great place to start for players just starting their volleyball journey. 

Prior to tryouts you will be asked to complete our questionairre to indicate your 1st and 2nd preference for a team. We will do our best to match your preference with the spots available.  However, placement depends upon a number of factors including but not limited to the level  and number of players that tryout and the needs of each team. We cannot guarantee which spots we will have to offer and that we can accommodate your preference. We work hard to balance both the needs of the player and the overall needs of each team.
